PS Plus free games | June 2023's Essential titles revealed

As long as you’re a UK PS Plus subscriber of any description, be it Essential, Extra or Premium, you’re at the very least going to receive three new games every month - which is pretty great value, if you ask us.

In May, we got to drive ludicrously fast in Grid Legends, get all medieval in Chivalry 2 and hoon around on virtual mountain bikes in Descenders without fear of breaking our necks.

PS Plus free games for June 2023 confirmed

Last month's games were Grid Legends, Chivalry 2 and Descenders, which are available to claim until 5th June.

PS Plus Essential members will get the following free games:

  • NBA 2K23
  • Jurassic World Evolution 2
  • Trek to Yomi

The June games are available from 6th June and you have until early July to claim them! As more games are confirmed for PS Plus, we'll update this page.

What do you get with the other PS Plus tiers?

Along with the aforementioned PS Plus games for June, depending on your tier, you can get access to hundreds of games from across all of the PlayStation generations - even including the PSP!

PS Plus Extra nets you the three Essential games but also grants you access to a whole plethora of great games, some of which are timed - so be sure to claim them before they go.

As long as you do claim them, you’ll be able to download and play them whenever you like, so long as you have an active PS Plus Extra account. Here’s just a handful of some of the great games on offer.

  • Death Stranding Directors Cut (PS5)
  • Bloodborne (PS4)
  • Days Gone (PS4)
  • Demon Souls (PS5)
  • DOOM Eternal (PS4, PS5)
  • God of War (PS4)
  • Horizon Zero Dawn

As well as all the games included in the other tiers, PS Plus Premium lets you download and play older titles from PS1, PS2, PS3 and PSP to harken back to a simpler time and relive your younger years.

PS3 games are only available via cloud streaming and this is region-dependent, but the UK is included in this list so we won’t miss out.

Below are but a few of the great classics you can revisit.

  • Resident Evil: Directors Cut (PS1)
  • Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee (PS1)
  • The Jak and Dexter series (PS2)
  • Siren (PS2)
  • The God of War Collection and God of War Ascension (PS3)
  • inFAMOUS and inFAMOUS 2 (PS3)
  • Pursuit Force (PSP)
  • Blade Dancer: Lineage of Light (PSP)

As a PS Plus Premium subscriber, you also have access to time-limited trials, which lets try before you buy and download a full game and play it for a set amount of time. The length of the trial varies depending on the game.

What’s also great here is that the progress you make on these trials will carry over if you end up buying the full game. We’ve got a selection of just a few below.

  • A Plague Tale: Requiem – Two hours
  • Cyberpunk 2077 – Five hours
  • God of War Ragnarok – Three hours
  • The Last of Us: Part I – Two hours
  • Gotham Knights – One hour
  • Sonic Frontiers – One hour

As you can see, longer RPG and story games get longer trials, so you can really get a good sense of what you’re getting into before you fish out your wallet.
