Naomi Walters (Karene Peters)
When is Naomi Walters leaving? Summer 2023.
She may have ruffled feathers in the village but Naomi Walters is set to depart Emmerdale as actress Karene Peters has quit her role on the ITV soap.
A source told The Sun: "Karene’s loved her time on the soap but it is time for her to go.
"Being on Emmerdale was a dream but she became an actor to play different roles and that’s exactly what she wants to do."
However, don't expect Naomi to be killed off, as the source added: "The door isn’t being closed on Naomi so she could always make a return down the line."
ITV declined to comment when approached by RadioTimes.com.

RETURNING
Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh)
When is Tracy Metcalfe returning? Summer 2023.
As actress Amy Walsh went on maternity leave to spend time with her baby who she welcomed over Christmas 2021/2022 with partner Toby-Alexander Smith (aka EastEnders' Gray Atkins), Tracy was written out of Emmerdale in an emotional exit storyline.
After splitting from Nate Robinson over his secret one-night-stand, Tracy seemed to be thawing towards him when she discovered that she had been offered a job in Nottingham to help other women suffering from post-natal depression as she had.
After an emotional farewell to Nate and her sister Vanessa, Tracy and baby Frankie departed the village for a new life in January.
Tracy briefly returned with Frankie in October 2022 as part of the Emmerdale 50th anniversary celebrations.
Despite a tryst with Nate, Tracy revealed that she was engaged to a boyfriend named Ollie and departed the village with Nate's blessing.
However, Tracy did want to make a go of it with Nate - until she spied on his romantic reconciliation with Naomi Walters after the storm, prompting her to leave again.
We do know that this was only a temporary return for Amy Walsh before she later returns to the soap full-time in the summer.
Rumour has it that Tracy will be getting married when she returns - but will she return to the village as someone's wife? Or could Nate be the one to win Tracy's heart once again?
Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton)
When is Kerry Wyatt returning? 2023.
Actress Laura Norton is now on maternity leave after announcing she is pregnant with her second child with her partner and former co-star Mark Jordon.
Kerry departed the village heartbroken after discovering her dead boyfriend Al Chapman had been cheating on her with a mystery lover - later publicly revealed to be Chas Dingle.
In the aftermath, Kerry took a job on a cruise ship and left behind daughter Chloe Harris, who only just learned Kerry was her mother.
What will convince Kerry to return to the village?
Norton made a guest appearance during her time away as Kerry appeared via a video call.
Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick)
When is Vanessa Woodfield departing? 2023.
Actress Michelle Hardwick is currently on maternity leave from the soap after departing on 30th November 2022.
Vanessa departed the village for a new year-long dream job in Canada after a falling out with friend Rhona Goskirk and breaking up with girlfriend Suzy Merton over a lack of trust.
However, before departing the village with her son Johnny, Ness made up with Rhona and even shared a kiss with Suzy.
When will the village see Vanessa again?
Of course, Vanessa may be able to pick up where she left off with Suzy upon her return but will her old love Charity also be looking for reconciliation after Mackenzie broke her heart?
Actress Michelle Hardwick confirmed to Metro at the British Soap Awards 2023 that viewers would see Vannessa before the end of the year.
"I'm definitely going back!" she revealed. "I've not got a date as such, it'll be later in the year at some point, but definitely I'll be back!"
